Student Monthly Report Form

A copy of this form is filled out for each homeschooling student and send to California Ranch School at the end of each month. Reporting is required for legal rudiments with the Department of Education.

Please include what parts of the program were worked on or completed, for example "cleared the vocabulary words", "reviewed math terms", etc. If you are on high school program, indicate if you are ready for the next level (10th, 11th, 12th or Graduation Preparation).

A monthly report is done so that everything you have done in that last month is recorded and reported, so that the people at California Ranch can give you accurate instructions for your next steps. The better and more detailed your report is, the better they can get an idea of what is going on. This will help them assist you better.

Include all related page numbers, lesson numbers, etc. Be detailed in all of your responses. If you want to add more information, please do so. The more data, the better.

All-school related activities should be mentioned on this form. If there is no space to specifically write it down, write it down wherever it fits best.

Please use perfect spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. Look over all of your answers before you submit them, in order to make sure that you got everything.

The first step for this report is to get out your most recent report. You should have been emailed a copy of it last month. By using your last report, you will know from which point you need to start reporting this month.

* On average, how many hours did you study in a week?

* Did you do any math lessons? If so, what lesson are you on now? Which book(s) are you using?

* Did you time yourself on any lessons? If so, include what times you got.

* Did you take any math tests? If so, list all the math tests you took and what PERCENT grade you received for each.

* Did you do anything else for math, for example timed arithmetic sheets? How much?

* How do you feel about your math progress in the last month?

* HOW have you applied study tech in the last month?

* Did you do any phonics or grammar? If so, what have you done? Which book(s) are you using?

* What books have you been reading? List the TITLES, AUTHORS, and whether you finished the books. If you have not finished the book, list what page you are on. Include how many pages there were in any books you finished. (Please capitalize titles of books appropriately.)

* Have you done any vocabulary? This includes Get Smart Games. If so, what did you do and how much?

* What writing have you done? This includes all writing, except Research. The Way to Happiness and creative writing can be included. Also include how many words written in total on each item.

* Have you done any printing or cursive practice? If so, what did you do and how much?

* Did you do any spelling? If so, what? Which page/lesson are you on? Which book(s) are you using?

* Did you do any research? If so, what? Include how many words you have written in total on each item.

* Did you do the Monthly Research Project this month? If so, what (if anything) did you feel you gained from it?

* Have you done any geography? If so, what did you do?

* Have you done any history and/or government? If so, what did you do?

* Did you do any science? If so, what did you do?

* Have you done anything related to The Way to Happiness? If you are on the checksheet, what step are you on and what precept are you up to?

* What rank you are on the Responsibility Checklists? How much have you been working on your checklist?

* Have you been doing any work experience or community service? If so, what have you done?

* Have you done any physical education? If so, what have you done?

* What course(s) are you on (if any) at the org, and what have you done on them?

* What other school-related activities have you been doing? (For example, music, any other sections on What Your Grader Needs to Know, etc.)

* Is there anything else that has been missed? By this point, all school related activities from the last month should have been recorded. Please look over the questions and answers again to make sure that everything has been reported.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your overall progress on your program this month?
