Te Pū o te Wheke whāia te au o Pioke ki uta. A Patukoraha language survey.

An Invitation
Hello, my name is Hohepa Maclean, I am a PhD student enrolled at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). I extend an invitation for you to take part in this research project. Your participation is purely voluntary and would be greatly appreciated. Should you wish to not take part or withdraw at any time, this will not reflect on you in any way.
What is the purpose of this research?
The purpose of this research is to analyse the heath of Te Reo Māori within the hapū of Patukoraha, and explore and develop strategies to enhace and revitalise te reo. This research topic seeks to ask how relevant and important Te Reo Māori is to whānau, hapū and iwi. Your participation will be completely anonymous and will make an important contribution to the sustainability and development of Patukoraha. The outcome of this research will provide valuable insights to assist and support the future development and direction of the hapū. There are added benefits for other hapū within Ngāti Kahu rohe as well as the wider Māori and non-Māori community. This research project will enable me to complete my Masters degree in Te Reo Māori. It is possible that part or all of this research could be published.
