Hi class,

The way most courses are set up, we only learn how much students know, we don't know how much they learn.

I am doing this pre-course assessment with the hope of finding out how much you know before we start. That way I will have some idea by the end of the course how much of a difference this course made in your knowledge. In other words, how much you actually learned. Please only take it one time ... I am counting on the results to be accurate.

This is not for a grade and the results are anonymous if you don't include your ID number at the end. But if you would please answer all of the questions with reasonable effort, and give your ID number at the end, you will be rewarded with a cookie

:-)

I am deliberately keeping it short so that you can do it quickly and easily. Please do not get help from any source (even by opening Excel) in order to provide me with accurate results.

Thank you for helping me assess my teaching.
