Survey Overview

The Williamsburg Libraries are putting together a strategic plan for the next five years. The strategic plan helps the Board of Trustees and the Director set priorities for the coming years and such a plan is required when applying for State and Federal grant money. As part of the planning process, the Board appointed an Advisory Planning group. Together with input from a variety of focus groups (town residents of all ages, out-of-town patrons, Williamsburg Elementary School teachers, library staff and Friends of Williamsburg Libraries), the Advisory group has come up with many suggestions about the library’s future. In this anonymous and voluntary survey we’d like you to offer suggestions about new programs, services and materials for the library and we’d like you to rate suggestions made in the focus groups. Please keep in mind that adding new programs and materials at the library may require additional fundraising. Nonetheless, your thoughts about what you want and need from the library – and your sense of what the entire community needs -- are essential information in the planning process.
