Project Description

Tennessee Higher Education Students Perception and Attitudes Toward Distance Education

Project Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the perception and attitudes of Tennessee higher education students that are currently enrolled in schools that offer both traditional and distance education courses.

The study will answer the following research questions: 1) What types of distance education courses have Tennessee higher education students completed? (2) How are the perception and attitudes of Tennessee higher education students divided among demographics towards the use of distance education? (3) Is distance education perceived as an acceptable form of education by Tennessee higher education students?

The method of research was a 15-question survey that was distributed electronically by Question Pro. The survey sample will be sent to various Tennessee distance education institutes that are located on the Tennessee Board of Regents Online website as distance education providers.
