Project Abstract

Internet�s rapid growth has allowed firms and consumers a large amount of interaction and in the food industry, companies continue to adopt and implement e-commerce strategies to reach for new markets or reinforce their presence, therefore it is interesting to find out whether this implementations are having effects on the performance of the adopter firms in a sector such as the organic and fair trade industry, and how does the business model adopted for the internet-based operations determines the success or failure of the strategy.
