Theodor Adorno stated that Intolerance of Ambiguity is the mark of the Authoritarian Personality, and this investigation seeks primarily to discover whether his maxim is statistically true. This investigation seeks to use 100 participants, and the F-Scale will be used to measure Authoritarianism, and an Ellsberg Paradox ball problem to gauge relative aversion to ambiguous situations. In addition to this, participant confidence in decision making was also investigated, exploring the possibilities that highly confident participants would not suffer from ambiguity aversion, whilst authoritarian personalities would not be confident in their decisions, despite appearances to the contrary.
