Implementation of the Electronic Prescription Service for the NHS

This project is designed to research the area of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), which is currently being implemented in pharmacies nationwide. The EPS system is designed to eliminate the need for paper prescriptions in the NHS and increase speed and accuracy of dispensing prescriptions. The aim of my project is to understand attitudes towards the service before and after it implemented and research the effects of the implementation on the stakeholders within pharmacies. I also aim to identify problems and suggest possible solutions to these problems as well as evaluate the design of the EPS system against well known usability principles. Research will be done using multiple expert, user and query evaluation techniques.
