Social Support as a Moderator between Acculturative Stress and Psychological Wellbeing in International Students
The proposed study, based on the acculturation model defined by Berry (1997), aims to assess the moderating effect that perceived level of social support from home country has between acculturative stress and the individual�s psychological wellbeing for Chinese international students studying in Australia. This study will restrict to Chinese nationality, and statistically control for; age, gender, marital status, length of stay, and English proficiency. The independent variables are acculturative stress and perceived social support, the dependant variable is psychological wellbeing.
