Project Description

Is HPV uptake dependant upon Socio-economic factors?

Project Abstract

We a group of Year 3 Medical Students studying towards becoming Doctors. We have started a research project which involves questioning members of the public on their opinions on the HPV (Human Pappiloma Virus Vaccination) which is being offered to 12-13 year old girls in school as a preventative measure against Cervical Cancer.

We want to understand whether those families from a lower socio-economic background are more or less likely to allow their children to take the vaccination, and potentially whether there are any confounders.

The purpose of the online survey is to allow us to fully sample the population and to offer them an alternative to filling out the paper questionnaires. It also coincides with our environmentally friendly approach in order to minimise paper consumption.

It would benefit us greatly if we could gain full access to the features of the site.

Many thanks,
