Attitudes towards and Willingness to Pay for a New Generation of Coal Fired Power Plant and its Alternatives in the UK
The plan to build a new hard coal-fired power plant by E-On in Kingsnorth, Kent has led to significant public opposition. This survey seeks to determine public knowledge about this project, as well as the relationship between environmental attitudes and public opinion towards this new coal-fired power plant and its different environmental and economic impacts. Moreover, this survey tries to determine how deeply people feel about climate change and how much they would be willing to pay for alternative sources of power.
