Project Description

Assessing Community Attitudes Regarding U.S./Mexican Immigration

Project Abstract

In this project, we will design and administer surveys regarding current issues in U.S./Mexican immigration. These surveys will ask a number of questions regarding peoples ideas, perceptions, and attitudes about immigration issues in the U.S. We will share survey results in a written report, including a critical discussion of results. I will be meeting with my professor several times throughout the semester to gain feedback and guidance in my project. In this way, the contract meets the third criteria listed for honors courses. Likewise, it meets the first and second criteria in that it will engage me with members of the community during surveying, allowing me to explore the course topic beyond the scope of the classroom.
