Project Description

Perception of Creativity Across Cultures

Project Abstract

The main focus of this research is to explore perceptions of creativity among American and Serbian laypeople (students)in order to find out if culture influences this perceptions.
People who grow up in different cultures think differently. Culture can influence how people perceive, process information and make sense of the world.
By conducting cross-cultural studies we have an opportunity to test the generality of psychological laws and to establish the boundary conditions for models and theories.
American and Serbian culture differs in many aspects, and influence of these differences on laypeople's perceptions of creativity have not been studied before.
