Since the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) and the widespread of the internet, there have been considerations of using these advanced technologies to enhance learning process and gain better learning outcomes, especially in higher education context. New social software, such as Blog, Wiki, podcasts and RSS feeds, are invented and provide more diversity of social interaction. This seeks to investigate the role of wiki to support a type of learning, namely inquiry based learning (IBL) in the University of Sheffield.
The objective of this research so far is to investigate students� views of using wiki in the process of learning. The researcher is going to construct an online questionnaire which will be disturbed to students in the University of Sheffield. Through gathering and analyzing the data from the online survey, it is able to find out student�s views towards using wiki technology in course studying.
