2023 QuestionPro Workforce Year in Review

Our mission at QuestionPro Workforce is to help organizations create company cultures where employees thrive. We believe in order to do so, listening to their employees via surveys is a critical part of the process, a really valuable way to know where the organizations are delivering on their promise, and where they can do better. 

We have a two-pronged approach to our product development philosophy. First, we work very closely with our clients to understand each of their unique approaches and needs, and are always considering how to help them get there, easier and faster. Second, because QuestionPro has a strong market research arm, we are continually doing external research to understand the employee sentiment and needs at a global scale, which both take back to our clients, as well as use to inform the product roadmap.

I am so happy to tell you about some large advancements we made on the platform this year. I will not go into every detail as we’d be here for a while, but will cover some of the bigger milestones, and if you’d like to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact me. 

EMPLOYEE LIFECYCLE ANALYTICS PORTAL

Being able to easily get insights from employee surveys is the critical first step in making data-based changes. This year we completely rebuilt our analytics capabilities to be able to fit the unique ways our clients want to review and interpret their data.

  • Fully configurable dashboard
    • We created a widgeted approach to building the dashboards, giving our clients complete flexibility in which data they want to show to which stakeholder, and how they want to arrange the different analyses to tell their story. They can make the dashboard fully focused on a single survey, or combine insights from multiple surveys in a single dashboard.
  • Amplified configurations to widgets
    • Additionally, in each widget we added a number of enhancements, such as the ability to show/hide particular metrics, which colors they want to select for analysis, whether they want to focus on mean or percent agreement, and more. 

  • Next generation of eNPS
    • Employee net promoter score remains one of the key metrics that many organizations use. The more deeply they understand the drivers behind the eNPS score, the more useful the metric becomes. Our clients can now see their eNPS survey software scores by any organizational designation (e.g, location, department, tenure) and be able to compare those scores both within their organization, as well as externally.

  • Notes and interpretations at your fingertips
    • We added an agile way to insert data interpretations right into the portal. This can be both useful as a reminder for the data analyst reviewing the data to have an easy reminder of their previous observations, as is an effective way to share observations with managers and other stakeholders on the data.

  • Fully branded dashboard
    • Companies have a deep pride in their brand, and we want to make sure that their brand is front and center as they share the pride in their employee surveys too. This is why they can insert their logos on the dashboard and make it fully adjustable to their company colors as well. 
  • External benchmarks
    • Because having external context for their data is critical for some of our clients, we gathered a benchmark for over 100 employee experience framework items ready for them to use. And we can collect and display benchmarks for any of their unique survey questions in real-time.
  • AI for open-ended analytics
    • With QuestionPro’s acquisition of Pathos.ai we added an additional AI-driven way to analyze open-ended survey responses.

EMPOWER ACTION PLANNING

One of the biggest challenges for organizations is taking action on their data. This is why we added Empower Action Planning as a key module in QuestionPro Workforce.

  • Initiatives and tasks at a glance
    • After an employee gets assigned as either an owner of an initiative or a task, when they log into the portal, they will be able to easily see and track the initiatives they are a part of, and upcoming tasks that they need to complete. 
  • Tracking initiatives by owner
    • We added another view to the platform where a manager can see all the initiatives that their employees are involved in, being able to see where their employees are making a contribution to advancing the company at a glance. 
  • Analytics to celebrate advancements and help those falling behind
    • The analytics section now provides an at-a-glance way to track initiatives across their organization, helping stakeholders more easily identify and celebrate initiatives that are completed and on track, as well as identifying those that fell behind to know where to lend a helping hand.

360 DEGREE FEEDBACK

Effective feedback is absolutely essential in leadership development, and we’re realizing more and more the different approaches that organizations like to take in their 360 feedback in particular. This is why this year flexibility and configurability was the name of the game for the development of our 360-degree platform.  

  • Increased degree of customizability
    • With upwards of 20 configuration settings on how organizations can set up the process, each employer can create a 360-degree feedback process that is most suitable for their culture. For example, those participating in the program can log into a proprietary portal to nominate their evaluators, complete self-evaluations and provide feedback to others as well.
  • In the same portal, the subject’s managers can take actions such as make any adjustments to nominated raters and review reports before their direct reports receive them. 
  • Leaders can launch the process at a time that best suits them
    • While organizations can determine the best time for feedback waives, the platform also allows leaders (subjects) to start the process themselves based on the best time to receive and take action on feedback. 
  • Enhanced HRBP access
    • We have enhanced which information HRBPs can have access to and take action on in the platform. 

PATIENT SAFETY FRAMEWORKS 

Healthcare industry is the pillar of our society, however, it’s often one where employees experience the greatest amount of strain. With the acquisition of Patient Safety Group, we amplified our focus to help healthcare organizations by providing frameworks and benchmarks more specifically targeted to their unique needs. 

  • Patient Safety and Employee Lifecycle surveys all in one place
    • Healthcare organizations can not conduct Patient Safety Surveys and other Employee Lifecycle surveys all from the same platform, allowing for enhanced insights and the ability to take action to make an even greater impact on their organization.
