Ten updates. One month. Here is everything that landed on QuestionPro in August 2026, product by product. Welcome to our full recap of the QuestionPro product updates for August 2026.

Most product update emails get skimmed for ten seconds and archived. That is fair. Nobody has time to read a changelog every month. But every so often, one of those releases is the exact thing your team has been asking for, and you find out about it three weeks late, in a Slack message from a colleague who actually reads the newsletter.

This is that changelog, written so you do not have to skim the product update newsletter. August 2026 touched five products: research surveys, Audience, UX, customer experience, and employee experience. Ten updates in total, grouped below by the product you will actually open to use them. If you would rather get this kind of recap the moment it ships instead of finding it here weeks later, you can sign up for the QuestionPro product newsletter and get it straight in your inbox once a month.

Research surveys: advanced quota control

If your studies stop at a simple response cap, this update isn’t really for you. It is built for insights teams running the kind of fielding where sample composition matters as much as sample size: multi-market trackers, segmented usage and attitudes studies, anything with more than one variable to balance at once.

Advanced quota control puts every quota type on one dashboard instead of splitting caps in one place from criteria logic in another. A question based quota still lets you set a target off a single question’s answer options, but the real upgrade is in criteria based quotas: combine several questions with AND and OR logic to define a cell like “female, non-drinkers, aged 25 to 34” as a single quota, and set a First and Second quota check so a long survey does not over-fill while dozens of respondents are mid-flight at once. Picture an FMCG brand running a usage and attitudes study across age, region, and category user status all at the same time. That kind of layered sampling used to mean building the logic by hand and hoping nobody blew past a cell target while a hundred people were still answering questions.

The other real change is minimum quota. Previously, guaranteeing a minimum sample for a smaller segment meant a workaround only for multi-select questions. Now you can set a minimum quota by count or percentage for any question-based quota, so a lower-incidence segment still gets enough completes before the survey closes, rather than being capped once it happens to fill. Every quota, regardless of type, updates in real time on the same dashboard, so you can see exactly how a cell is filling as data comes in. It is currently available in QuestionPro’s Research Edition, and the help file walks through how to build each quota type. It sits within the broader market research software, so you can see how it fits alongside the rest of your survey tools.

Audience: multi-country launch

Audience picked up a genuinely useful structural change. A multi-country launch lets you set up a single project once and run it across several countries simultaneously, with each country tracked as its own child project under a shared parent. Picture a UK bank that wants comparable brand-tracking data across five European markets: instead of building five separate projects and reconciling the results by hand, a single setup handles cost estimates, launch, and progress tracking for each country from the same screen. You can pause, resume, or close any single country without touching the rest of the project. The full steps are in the multi-country launch help file, and you can see how they fit within the wider Audience platform.

UX: smart scheduling

QuestionPro UX added smart scheduling for live research sessions. Booking a usability test or an executive interview used to mean a back-and-forth email thread about availability. Now moderators set their open times once, choose between a recurring weekly window or specific curated slots, and let participants pick a time directly from a calendar. Focus groups get their own model: a single proposed date and time, an optional RSVP step, and a quorum count so you know when enough people have confirmed to lock in the session. Details on setting availability rules and assigning moderators are in the UX scheduling help file.

Customer experience: WhatsApp, widgets, and ticket tools

CX had the busiest month of any product, with five separate updates landing across distribution, intercepts, and ticketing.

WhatsApp as a distribution channel

Customer experience teams picked up WhatsApp as a distribution channel this month. Once you connect a WhatsApp Business account, you can build Meta-approved message templates and use them inside CX workflows to send surveys, reminders, and feedback requests over WhatsApp instead of email alone. It is a meaningful shift for teams whose customers barely open email but check WhatsApp constantly. Templates go through Meta’s approval process before they can be used, and the WhatsApp integration help file walks you through connecting your account and building your first template.

A more native feel for feedback widgets

Two intercept updates landed this month, and both focus on making feedback collection feel like part of your site rather than a bolt-on. The pop-up and feedback widget settings got a refresh: more launcher styles, responsive sizing, opt-in boxes, and customizable buttons, so the widget can actually match your brand instead of looking like a generic overlay. Setup details are in the feedback widget settings help file. Alongside that, there is a new floating plus icon launcher that sits quietly at the edge of a page, a lighter touch for sites that want feedback available without interrupting the visitor. Positioning, size, and the opt-in experience are all configurable, and the floating plus icon help file covers the options in detail.

Two upgrades for closed-loop teams

If you manage a support or ticketing workspace in CX, two more changes are worth a look. Ticket watchers let a manager or teammate follow a ticket’s progress without becoming the assignee. They receive the same notifications as the assigned agent and appear in the CC field on ticket emails, so a manager can stay informed about an escalation without taking ownership of it. The ticket watchers help file has the full rundown. The ticket list itself also got a column manager, so you can choose which system and custom variable columns show up and arrange them in the order your team actually works. See the column manager help file for setup. You can read more about how these pieces fit together on the customer experience product page.

Employee experience: sharper reporting

Two updates shipped for employee experience this month, both aimed at how HR and people teams report on 360 feedback and dashboards. The first lets you assign custom percentage weights to rater relationships in a 360 review, so a self rating, a manager rating, and peer ratings do not all count equally by default. That means the final score can reflect how your organization actually values each relationship, rather than a flat average. Full details are in the custom relationship weightage help file.

The second is a tab-level export for EX dashboards. Instead of pulling widgets out one at a time, you can export an entire dashboard tab in a single action, choosing Excel, PowerPoint, or PDF and controlling exactly which widgets are included. If you build a monthly leadership report from an EX dashboard, this alone can save a meaningful chunk of prep time. See the tab-level export help file for the walkthrough.

Get started

That is the full list for August: five products, ten updates, none of them requiring a migration or a big rollout plan. Most are settings you can turn on inside a survey, a CX workspace, or a UX study you already have running. If you want to try any of them, start a free QuestionPro trial and go find the setting.

And if you would rather not wait for a recap like this one, sign up for the QuestionPro product newsletter. It is just monthly product updates. No promotional emails, no thought leadership, just what shipped and where to find it.

Frequently asked questions

What is new in QuestionPro for August 2026?

August’s releases span five products: advanced quota control for research surveys; an Audience multi-country launch; smart scheduling in UX; five customer experience updates, including WhatsApp integration and ticket watchers; and two employee experience updates, covering 360 weighting and dashboard exports.

What makes advanced quota control different from a basic response cap?

A basic cap only stops responses once an option is full. Advanced quota control adds criteria-based quotas that combine multiple questions using AND and OR logic, minimum quotas by count or percentage rather than only maximum caps, and a second quota check for longer surveys, all tracked live on one dashboard.

Can I set a minimum quota instead of only a maximum cap?

Yes. You can require a minimum count or a minimum percentage of total responses for any answer option on a question-based quota. This is useful for making sure a smaller or lower-incidence segment still gets enough completes before the survey closes.

How is a criteria-based quota different from a question-based quota?

A question-based quota sets targets based on the answer options of a single question. A criteria-based quota lets you combine multiple questions, system variables, or geolocation conditions with AND and OR logic to define a more specific respondent cell, with an optional second quota check later in the survey.

Do I need my own WhatsApp Business account to send surveys over WhatsApp?

Yes. You need a valid WhatsApp Business account connected to CX before you can build and send message templates. Every template also needs Meta’s approval before it can be used in a workflow, so plan for that review step before you launch a campaign.

Can I run one Audience project across several countries at the same time?

Yes. A multi-country launch lets you set up a single parent project and run it across two or more countries at once, with each country tracked as a separate child project. You can pause, resume, or close a single country without affecting the rest of the project.

Does adding a ticket watcher change who owns the ticket?

No. Ticket ownership and assignment remain unchanged. A watcher is just copied on the same notifications the assignee receives, which makes it useful for keeping a manager informed about an escalation without reassigning it.

Is advanced quota control available on every QuestionPro plan?

It is currently available on the Research Edition. If you are not sure what your account includes, your account admin or QuestionPro support can confirm what is on your plan.

Will signing up for the product newsletter add me to sales or marketing emails?

No. The QuestionPro product newsletter is for monthly product updates only, with no promotional emails or thought leadership content mixed in.
