Use Text AI output in datasets

Text AI converts open-ended feedback into structured themes, sub-themes, and sentiment. Importing this output into a dataset lets you analyze qualitative feedback as quantitative fields in QuestionPro BI dashboards.

Before you begin

• Process the source data in a Text AI dashboard before importing its output.
• For an external-data Text AI dashboard, use the same external dataset in the Datasets module.
• For a survey-based Text AI dashboard, create a dataset mapped to the same survey.

Watch this video to learn how to bring Text AI output into datasets and build BI dashboards:

1. In your BI workspace, go to Datasets and open the external dataset used by the Text AI dashboard.
2. Click Upload data and select TextAI.

1. Select the matching Text AI dashboard. Only dashboards created from that external dataset are available.

1. Click Import. The dataset adds Theme, Sub Theme, and Sentiment fields generated by Text AI.
2. When the Text AI output changes, use Re-sync TextAI data to refresh the dataset.

1. Go to Datasets, click New Dataset, and choose Map to survey.

1. Select the survey used by the Text AI dashboard, enter a dataset name, and click Import.
2. Open the new survey dataset, click Upload data, and select TextAI.
3. Select a Text AI dashboard created from the same survey.

1. Click Import and verify that Theme, Sub Theme, and Sentiment appear as dataset fields.

Select the Text AI-enabled dataset when you create or configure a BI dashboard. You can use Theme, Sub Theme, and Sentiment as dimensions in supported widgets, combine them with existing dataset fields, and apply filters or slicers to compare feedback patterns across segments.

This workflow turns qualitative feedback into structured data that can be charted, filtered, and explored alongside the rest of your dataset.
