Auto-advance mode adds auto-scroll functionality to your surveys. Upon answering questions, the survey will move to the next question automatically and this helps reduce time and fatigue when taking surveys.

Auto-advance is easy to set up and it works like a charm across multiple devices like computers, tablets, and phones.

Auto-advance mode not only reduces the time taken to complete a survey but also leaves your respondents delighted.

How do I enable Auto-advance mode?

By default, all new surveys will have the auto-advance mode enabled. To change this setting:

Go to: Login » Surveys (Select Survey) » Edit

Under edit, click on the Design tab.

Click on the Display settings menu. Here, you can disable/enable the switch for Auto-advance and save.

How does auto-advance work?

When auto-advance is enabled, once a question is answered, the survey will move (scroll) and focus on the next question.

Which question types are supported by auto-advance?

Following question types are supported:

  • Multi-choice select one
  • Multi-choice drop-down
  • Smiley rating
  • Thumbs up/down
  • Image question (select one)
  • Map

Following question types are not supported by auto-advance:

  • Multi-choice select many
  • Text questions
  • Star rating
  • Push to social
  • Text slider
  • Numeric slider
  • Image question (select many)
  • Image question (rating)
  • Matrix questions
  • Ordering questions

Among advanced question types, auto-advance supports net promoter scale (NPS) questions only.
