Creating email invitation template

To send a survey invitation via email, you need to have an appropriate email message requesting your audience to take the survey. This will help you to set the context for the survey further improving your response rate.

You can create two types of email invitation templates:

  • Survey specific invitations: This template will be visible and can be used only for a specific survey.
  • Global invitations: This template will be visible across all the surveys in your account.

How do I create a new email invitation template?

  • Go to: Login » Surveys (select a survey) » Distribute » Email
  • Click on templates tab.
  • Now, you will see default email template and new template.

    Default email template: A default email template is provided for each survey.

    New template: You can create your own template by clicking on new template button.

To create a new email invitation template, click on new template. A pop-up will appear to edit email invitation message.

You can edit the following sections:

  • Template name.
  • Subject: Subject for the email / survey invitation.
  • Message: Enter text to compose message for the invitation. You can use HTML in your invitation text, insert images or attach files (click here for more details).

    Custom variables can be added to pre-populate data. For example, if custom variable 1 refers to first name of the respondents then use ${custom1} in the salutation - "Hello ${custom1}".

  • Once the editing is done then click on save.
