Text question - Numeric Text Box

A Numeric Text Box is an open-ended space where respondents can enter only numbers. For example: Contact number

To add a Numeric Text Box question, go to: Login >> Surveys >> Edit >> Workspace

• Click on the Add Question button.
• Now you will see various options under Basic >> Text >> Comment Box.
• Click on the Settings button >> Select the Numeric Data option.





• Add Row: You can add multiple rows using the '+ Text Box' button.

Making the question Required:

To make the question mandatory, you can click on Settings and you will find a toggle button to make the question required. Why? When you add questions to a survey, by default, the required toggle is turned off. When the required option is not enabled, respondents can continue with the survey without selecting answers. If respondents go through all the pages in the survey without selecting answers, the response is still considered complete. You can enable the required option to make a question required so that respondents can continue with the survey only after responding to the questions.

Yes, you can certainly add a character or digit limit to the numeric data question.

Click on Settings >> Turn ON the Required option >> Set the character limit in the box.

Yes, you can set a numeric range.

• You will need to turn on the required option for the question
• Once you turn on the Required option, click on Settings, and you will find the option to enter the numeric range.
• Enter the range

Make sure the question is made required.

• Click on Settings >> Required >> On
• Turn on the 'Whole Numbers' option
