What if I change the display name of the custom variable in the variable section? Do I still need to add it as custom1 custom2 and so on?

No, when you change the display name of a custom variable name, it automatically changes in the compose tag, for example: https://prnt.sc/AqXQFo_B8AKE In this case, I change the custom2 value to "hello" in the variables section.So it is displaying as hello that time when you give ${custom2} it won"t work.
