Yes, there is a defined threshold.

If the total number of responses is 5,000 or fewer, they are deleted immediately.

If the total exceeds 5,000 responses, the deletion is automatically scheduled and processed over the weekend. In such cases, the system displays a message indicating that the responses will be deleted within 5–7 days.
