Passkey Login
What are Passkeys?
Passkeys provide a secure and convenient way to log in to your QuestionPro account without entering your password. They use your device or a passkey provider to verify your identity through methods such as fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, or a device PIN.
Passkeys use public-key cryptography to authenticate users. The private key remains securely stored with your passkey provider and is not shared with QuestionPro during login.
Note: Passkeys in QuestionPro are used for passwordless login. They do not currently support two-factor authentication (2FA).
What are the benefits of using Passkeys?
- Passwordless login: Sign in to QuestionPro without entering your password.
- Enhanced security: Passkeys are tied to the QuestionPro website, making them more resistant to phishing attacks.
- Convenient authentication: Verify your identity using your fingerprint, face, PIN, or another method supported by your device.
- Flexible device support: Save passkeys using supported password managers, your device, or an external device such as a mobile phone or security key.
- Multiple passkeys: Register multiple passkeys to access your QuestionPro account from different devices or passkey providers.

- If you are an organization administrator, enable it by following the steps in How to enable Passkey Login for your organization.
- Confirm that your organization does not use SAML authentication.
If you still cannot see the feature, contact your QuestionPro administrator or support team, as availability may also depend on your QuestionPro license.
I cannot log in using my passkeys or add a passkey. What should I do?
You may be unable to log in using passkeys or register a new passkey for either of the following reasons:
- Passkey Login is disabled: Your organization administrator may not have enabled Passkey Login for your organization. Contact your organization administrator to enable it.
- Your organization uses SAML authentication: Passkey Login is currently not available for users whose organization uses SAML authentication. You will need to use your organization's supported SAML login method.
If neither of these conditions applies:
- Verify that your passkey is available through the device or password manager where it was registered.
- Try another registered passkey.
- Use another supported login method.
I cannot complete fingerprint, facial recognition, or PIN verification. What should I do?
- Follow the instructions displayed by your device or passkey provider.
- Verify that the authentication method is configured and available on your device.
- If authentication continues to fail, try another registered passkey or use another supported login method.
I no longer have access to the device containing my passkey. What should I do?
- If your passkey is synced through a supported password manager, check whether you can access it from another device.
- If you have another passkey registered to your QuestionPro account, use it to sign in.
- If you cannot access any registered passkey, use another supported login method or contact QuestionPro support for assistance.
I deleted a passkey from QuestionPro. Is it also deleted from my device?
Not necessarily. Deleting a passkey from QuestionPro removes that registration from your QuestionPro account. However, the credential may still remain on your device or password manager. If you no longer need it, you may also need to delete it from the provider where it was saved.
Best practices for using Passkeys
- Register passkeys only on devices or with providers you trust.
- Give each passkey a recognizable name to make management easier.
- Register an additional passkey on another device or through a supported synced provider where possible.
- Delete passkeys from QuestionPro when they are no longer needed, especially when retiring a device.
- Keep access to your passkey provider account secure, since it may be used to sync or recover your passkeys.
- If your organization administrator disables Passkey Login, use an alternative supported authentication method.
Does Passkey availability depend on my license?
