Quota Control helps field teams manage response targets during offline data collection using the QuestionPro Offline App. The app enforces supported quota rules while offline and updates quota counts and status when data is synchronized.
The QuestionPro Offline App supports the following quota types:
1. Survey-level Response Quota
A Response Quota limits the total number of responses that can be collected for a survey. When the response quota is reached on the device, the survey closes for further data collection on that device. After synchronization, the latest quota status is updated on the Offline App so field agents can see when the quota has been met.
2. Question-level Quotas
The Offline App fully supports question based quotas configured for individual answer options, including their configured actions. When an answer option reaches its quota, the app applies the configured action, such as:
These actions work during offline data collection. Field agents can monitor quota progress from the survey list and view the question-level breakdown on the Quota Overview screen. When the device synchronizes, quota counts and status are updated so field agents can see the latest available progress. For instructions on configuring question-level quotas, see Quota Management.
The Offline App currently supports survey-level Response Quotas and question-level Question Based Quotas. Other quota types are not currently supported and will be added progressively. Contact your Account Manager if you require support for an additional quota type.
Quota limits are enforced based on the latest quota information available on each device.
For example, if Device A synchronizes and reaches the response quota while Device B is still offline, Device B can continue collecting responses until its local quota limit is reached. It does not immediately know that another device has reached the quota. When Device B synchronizes:
